JAMES MADISON UNIVERSITY FOOTBALL

In Fall 2025, I was the Lead Student Creative for JMU’s Football program. I was the primary camera and editor for all creative video content for social media and in-venue screens. Additionally, assisted by my director, James Gutschow, supervising and mentoring 30+ student interns on projects, as well as in gameday scheduling, roles, and creative execution.

CHAMPIONS.

Prior to JMU beating Troy for the conference championship, Coach Chesney commented at a press conference that it takes a year to put a trophy in a trophy case. I decided to use this statement as the centerpiece of the team’s dedication and hard work.

THE BATTLE OF THE BLUERIDGE.

After JMU’s win over Liberty in September 2025, I combined both teams’ radio broadcasts in a dueling format to show the rivalry and tension between the two in-state teams.

HIGHLIGHTS FROM HOMECOMING.

At halftime against Old Dominion, JMU was ahead by just one point. We quickly decided to send a camera into the locker room to capture the team’s halftime adjustments. This gave fans a rare look at how Coaches lead and how the team bounces back.

BE THE TOUGHER TEAM.

For our Marvel Comics collaboration with the football program, our team made sure to highlight all of the extra branded events as well as the super hero decal on the side of every player's helmet during our win over Washington State.

WHISPERS HERD ACROSS THE MOUNTAINS.

From my experience at PLL, I used the additional audio channel on the FX3 to wirelessly sync our play-by-play audio directly to the camera. This is now our standard for both our football and basketball programs.

BATTLE AT THE BEACH.

For the first time in program history, JMU had an undefeated season in the Sun Belt, finishing with a win over Coastal Carolina. With just two shooters, I utilized ESPN footage to help tell the story.
